Entrepreneurs gain assistance from new programme
The EnterpriseSTART Programmes, which help budding entrepreneurs understand and evaluate the intricacies of the entrepreneurial process, takes place across the board this November.
The EnterpriseStart Programme will take place across the country in Dublin, Limerick, Dundalk, Leterkenny and more locations and will help potential entrepreneurs examine all aspects of what is involved in setting up a business and help them determine if entrepreneurship is the right course for them.
The programme will feature local businesses on seperate dates with words and advice on how to get started up in your own venture.
Conor Fahy, Enterprise Ireland regional director in the north west region, commented on how he believes developing the entrepreneurial culture regionally and driving the growth of export focused innovation based start-ups is of utmost importance.
“The potential for new businesses continues to be strong and starting and growing successful enterprises is fundamental to achieving regional economic growth. For Enterprise Ireland, growing the number of high potential start-up companies is a priority and we are proactively seeking out and supporting entrepreneurs interested in starting high growth export-oriented businesses,” explained Fahy.
Featuring in the Leterkenny EnterpriseStart Programme, Managing Director of Magical Minds Ltd, Berni Sheridan is set to offer her expertise at during the programme.
The MD of Magical Minds - a company developing unique web-based digital media education programmes aimed initially at 5-7 year olds - is expected to discuss the key milestones involved in getting her business off the ground, gaining access to funding, developing a web-based business, the key success factors and the potential pitfalls and the harsh realities of going into business for yourself.
While Mary Sadlier of Xcell Partners and Sadlier Reilly Capital, an experienced business training expert, will set out a range of practical business and marketing tools and templates to help analyse business propositions and how to progress to the next stage.
The next workshop runs from 3.00pm – 9.00pm on Tuesday 2nd November at the Enterprise Ireland Offices in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, and further workshops are planned for other locations throughout Ireland later this year.
