Research and innovation awarded at Globe Forum

Innovators Dr Antonio Ruzzelli and David Connolly have been awarded at the Globe Forum in the categories of ‘Ireland’s Innovator’ and ‘Ireland’s Researcher’.

The two winners, of Veutility and University of Limerick respectively, were presented with their awards by former president of Ireland, Mary Robinson, at the forum today.

Both winners were selected from hundreds of entries and had to deliver 60-second pitches in order to reach a short list.

Innovation and research

Ruzzelli will receive a mentoring programme from Accenture, iQ Content web kick start package, Innovation Alliance incubation space, an entrepreneur programme in Nova UCD, exclusive membership to Globe Forum’s facilitator programme and public relations consultancy from Limelight Communications, while Connolly will receive exclusive membership in Globe Forum’s facilitator programme, €600 (IRCSET) and a mentoring programme from Accenture.

The winners leave Globe Forum with the titles — ‘Ireland’s Innovator’ and ‘Ireland’s Researcher’ — and benefit from a prize package in excess of €60,000.
