ITLG allies with Kauffman Foundation for diaspora innovation strategy

The Irish Technology Leadership Group has forged a major partnership with the global authority on entrepreneurship, the Kauffman Foundation, which will result in the development of a diaspora innovation strategy to deliver world-leading entrepreneurship programmes and policies to Irish start-ups.
"The Kauffman Foundation is a world authority on entrepreneurial innovation and economic growth," ITLG founder John Hartnett told Siliconrepublic.com.
“Specifically, the effort will focus on developing a diaspora innovation strategy that will deliver world-leading entrepreneurship programmes and policies.
“The partnership will combine university internship programmes, entrepreneurship training, advice on entrepreneurship policy, the Irish Innovation Centre and a global network of Irish technology executives, to produce a viable source of young entrepreneurial companies for the future," Hartnett said.
ITLG Innovation Summit
The Irish Technology Leadership Group is calling in the big guns for its Innovation Summit in March and, as well as partnering with the Kauffman Foundation, veteran Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz will also be taking part in the event.
The ITLG's annual Innovation Summit will take place on 12-13 March 2012 in Silicon Valley and will feature keynotes from such speakers as Carl Schramm, the CEO of the Kauffman Foundation, Andreessen Horowitz general partner John O'Farrell and the founder of Elevation Partners Roger McNamee.
The annual shindig will include a cloud computing seminar with Grant Thornton, keynotes from top Silicon Valley executives, a tech showcase of Ireland's best technology, the ITLG/Irish Times Awards and the Silicon Valley 50 Awards.
In addition, the event will run an intensive CEO bootcamp with the Kauffman Foundation, which will be open to Irish entrepreneurs.
