Having just successfully completed its first outing, Selr8r, a unique mentor-driven sales accelerator programme, is ready for a second run at boosting selected start-ups’ sales.

The first Selr8r programme commenced in January this year and wrapped up just last month, with the eight participating companies that graduated from the programme said to have increased their combined sales by more than 400pc. The programme is now seeking applications for its second round, based in Cork.

“We’re happy to consider software, hardware, or pretty much any kind of innovative, new product provided it is scalable and the market potential is large and clearly identifiable,” said Bill Liao, co-founder of CoderDojo and one of the Selr8r mentors.

“It may be born in Ireland but have global potential. Participants will hear from people who’ve invented and sold the most unlikely and amazing new products and services, and built sales organisations generating millions of euros, pounds and dollars. These people will sit with them, puzzle things out, and advise them throughout,” he added.

The programme is targeting start-ups and will select 10 early-stage companies with ready-to-market innovative products. These participating companies will be provided with finance, telecommunications services, marketing and design services, peer networking, sales and social media training, telesales calls, as well as a workspace during an intensive 50-day period wherein Selr8r will help to bring their products to the global market.

Other mentors from the programme include head of SOSventures Sean O’Sullivan, Storyful founder Mark Little, Select Strategies founder Paul O’Dea and Bubblebum CEO Grainne Kelly.

The application window closes midway through April and participants will be selected on 30 April to begin the programme on 20 May.
