Online hiring platform Jobbio raises €1m in funding

Jobbio, a hiring platform created by Irish brothers Stephen and John Quinn, has raised €1m in a funding round involving AIB Seed Capital Fund, MXC Capital, Enterprise Ireland, and private investors.

Jobbio is used as a recruitment platform by over 550 companies including Unilever, Ryanair, Dropbox, Bank of Ireland, Mazars, Survey Monkey as well as innovative and rapidly expanding businesses such as AirBnB, Hailo to Brown Bag Films are already using the platform to hire more efficiently.

Currently, over 100,000 applicants have registered on the Jobbio platform and 450,000 approved connections between talents and brands have been registered.

The company will use the funding to expand in the UK, open a US office as well as invest in its platform, including a new mobile app.

“This funding will be crucial to help us consolidate and build upon Jobbio’s success to date,” said Jobbio CEO Stephen Quinn.

Since opening the London office, Jobbio has signed up over 50 UK brands across the technology, property, media, marketing, retail and hospitality sectors. 

Jobbio will use the funding to expand its UK team by another 10 employees to cater for growing demand both from companies and applicants.
