Ireland’s first online casino is expected to go live within the next few weeks.
According to reports, a Dublin company called Leisure Spread is planning to launch Ireland’s first online casino, which will be known as supremeoddscasino.com
Leisure Spread offers spread betting on sports and stocks and last year signed a deal with Canadian Chartwell Technologies to offer betting services to Chartwell’s online casino customers.
The company is understood to have recently closed a €3.2m funding round to fund its spread betting activities in the UK, where more than half the company’s activities is based.
Leisure Spread is understood to be planning to establish a UK office and attain regulated status from the Financial Services Authority, a move that will allow the company to advertise prices in racing publications.
As well as an online casino in Ireland, the company is also planning to launch a website offering online share spread betting.
