ACCBank overhauls operations software

17 Jun 2003

All-Ireland SME and agricultural financial services provider ACCBank has decided to overhaul its entire banking operations software system as part of a deal with international banking software vendor i-Flex.

Established in 1927, ACCBank is one of Ireland’s oldest business banks and is today a subsidiary of Rabobank Nederland. The new software will be used to streamline services to SMEs and farming customers across a nationwide network and through specialist business banking centres in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway.

The bank has selected i-Flex’s FlexCube software to enable it to scale up, fine-tune and expand its products and services for customers in the SME, personal and agricultural markets.

In addition, ACCBank has signed up for Reveleus, the business intelligence division of i-Flex, to provide a special interface across its banking systems that will enable direct reporting to the Irish Central Bank. The Reveleus modules will facilitate data integration between FlexCube operations software and S1 Financial Reporting Services, a system used by banks around the world to streamline real-time financial processes.

Mike Geoghegan, director of banking at ACCBank explained: “FlexCube covers the entire gamut of banking operations and allows us the flexibility to scale up, as the bank grows. Through this relationship we want to leverage i-Flex’s experience in working with banking and financial institutions around the world, which will help us to provide a comprehensive range of services to our customers.

“We see IT as the enabling driver in our business change process. We aim to build a robust technology infrastructure for the Bank and plan to work collaboratively with i-flex to deliver a solution that will benefit our customers,” Geoghegan added.
