Trintech strikes deal with 7-Eleven

Global provider of secure electronics payments infrastructure, Trintech, has announced that US convenience retailer, 7-Eleven, has chosen its ReconNET 6.1 product to manage its transaction reconciliation and management needs for its new additions to its stores, Vcom kiosks.

Vcom is 7-Eleven’s self-service kiosk that offers ATM capabilities and 24-hour touchscreen convenience to provide customers with financial and other services.

At the moment, customers can make ATM transactions, purchase Western Union money orders and money transfers and cash cheques through Certegy Check Service (sm).

“Trintech’s ReconNET solution will help us to streamline a complex and time-consuming process,” said Michelle Waters, manager of revenue accounting at 7-Eleven. “As part of our Vcom initiative, ReconNET allows us to improve cash management with the confidence that our revenues will be reported accurately and in a timely manner,” she said.

Randy Jesberg, general manager of the funds management systems division at Trintech said: “By leveraging the power of ReconNET, 7-Eleven can improve its efficiencies by speeding up the cash management process, reducing errors and re-deploying headcount to other areas.”

275 orgnisations already use ReconNET. These include Burger King, Verizon Wireless and Hallmark Cards.

ReconNET provides enterprise reconciliation and exception management software for managing multiple transaction types.
