US technology firm Swan Labs is to create 40 highly skilled jobs in Belfast where it is establishing its European centre of operations.
It is understood the company’s new Northern Ireland (NI) subsidiary will focus on the design, development and implementation of solutions aimed at making business applications including email, Oracle and Siebel work more efficiently.
Invest NI is supporting the £1.8m sterling investment with the aid of almost £500k sterling. Half of this support will take the form of a product development grant.
The company has established a full-service product development, engineering support and international sales and marketing function, and has plans to bolster development, quality assurance, testing and direct sales within the next six months.
“The Swan Labs investment highlights the growing level of international confidence in the local economy and its high-growth ICT sector,” commented Leslie Morrison, chief executive of Invest NI.
“NI is fast becoming a premier location for international businesses, such as Swan Labs, which are seeking a highly skilled workforce, a first-class support infrastructure and easy access to international markets,” Morrison said.
