Digital media company AOL has appointed John Reid-Dodick as its chief people officer to lead the development and support of AOL’s employees worldwide.
Reid-Dodick served as global head of human resources for Thomson Reuters Markets, the US$7bn, 28,000-person division that included the Reuters news organisation and the company’s media, technology and financial services businesses.
Reid-Dodick will lead AOL’s human resources team to support the growth and success of employees around the world through a focus on personal development, career progression, talent acquisition, total rewards and business advice supporting leadership and organisational performance.
Reid-Dodick will be based at AOL’s headquarters in New York and report directly to Tim Armstrong, chairman and CEO.

Reid-Dodick graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was managing editor of the Harvard Law Review, and holds a master’s degree in politics from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in political studies from the University of Manitoba.
