Call for nominations for Net Visionary Awards

19 Sep 2006

Nominations for this year’s Net Visionary Awards, which honour contributions made by individuals and organisations to the Irish internet industry, are now open.

Nominations can be made up until 29 September and the awards ceremony will take place on 16 November at a Gala black tie ball in Killiney Castle Hotel, Dublin.

The awards are organised by the Irish Internet Association and CheetahMail. Nominees are put forward by colleagues, clients and peers and voted on by industry professionals.

This year’s awards have been expanded to 15 categories, including: Innovation, Web Design, Online Treader, Best Blogger, Best Podcaster, Technology Journalist and Online Marketer. There will be one winner chosen from each category.

Siliconrepublic.com‘s finest John Kennedy scooped the Technology Journalist award last year and has been strutting around like a demigod ever since.

An Overall Net Visionary will be chosen by the board of the Irish Internet Association and announced on the night.

Nominations can be made at http://www.netvisionary.ie/votenom.html.
