Networking equipment maker Cisco has completed its acquisition of Ubiquisys for US$310m in cash and retention-based incentives.
Ubiquisys is a provider of 3G and long-term evolution (LTE) small-cell technologies, based in Swindon, UK.
The company’s technologies provide connectivity across mobile heterogeneous networks for service providers.
Under the deal, the companies will be able to give service providers a small-cell solution that supports the transition to next-generation radio access networks.
Ubiquisys employees will also be integrated into the Cisco Mobility Business Group.
