Broadband company Digiweb has signed a deal worth over €125,000 over five years to provide Dublin-headquartered online accommodation booking site CentralR with a tailored web hosting solution.

CentralR has booked more server space from Digiweb in order to power the increased requirements of the CentralR.com website. CentralR has over 4,000 hotels across Europe and Australasia selling accommodation on the CentralR.com site.

Bookings have increased by over 35pc over the past few years and the company now employs over 40 staff in a variety of technical and internet-specific roles.

Digiweb’s hosting arm, Digiweb Hosting, was chosen for the mix of reliability, security and 24 hour assistance it offered.

“Guests who book online expect instant results for accommodation searching and booking. Digiweb’s uptime record and full onsite support give us the confidence to deliver that,” said Shane O’Grady, IT Systems Manager with CentralR, who managed the hosting migration project.
