Dublin loses to London in fight for Twitter

18 Apr 2011

Twitter has commenced recruitment for its new offices that will be located in west London, it has emerged. The project would have been the icing on the cake for Dublin’s large internet ecosystem, which includes Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft, to name a few.

According to reports, the messaging firm has already begun talks with property agents in London and has visited locations in the west end.

The office is set to open next year and will be focused on growing Twitter’s advertising base.

It is understood the office will be headed by Katie Jacob Stanton, head of international strategy and special adviser to the US State Department’s Office of Innovation.
