E-commerce drives 100pc growth in online sales at Arnotts

Dublin department store Arnotts has reported a 100pc annual growth in e-commerce sales via its new website which was deployed by the Buy4Now Technology Group.

With an estimated 1 million unique visitors during 2009 to the Arnotts site, the store now attracts significant numbers of national and international shoppers.

The site, which is fully integrated with the Arnotts merchandise system, has more than 10,000 product offerings ranging from gift ware and fashion to furniture and electrical, with access to the very latest in-store promotions.

Arnotts department store is going through significant changes at the moment, including the opening of our new cosmetics hall and The Conran Shop in recent months,” said Gerard Ryan, home buying director, Arnotts.

“This website allows us to keep our customers up to date with all that’s new in Arnotts and also lets them shop online from a significant range of brands in the comfort of their own homes.

“Our objective in the coming months in to continue to enhance the product offer on the site, particularly across our fashion departments. The online sales growth that we experienced in 2009 gives us great encouragement for the future,” Ryan said.
