eBay cuts 125 jobs worldwide

Online auction company eBay is to cut 125 jobs worldwide as part of its restructuring plan, it has emerged.

The job cuts will affect operations in the US, Belgium, Spain and Australia. The positions affected are in the customer service, financial and legal areas.

According to eBay, the company is shedding less than 1pc of its global workforce.

EBay and its subsidiary PayPal employ more than 1,200 people in its Blanchardstown premises in Dublin.
