Eircom to sell
SME software

Eircom’s Total ICT division has signed an agreement with Norwegian SME software vendor Mamut to resell the company’s accounting, customer relationship management (CRM), salesforce automation, logistics and e-commerce software.

In recent months Eircom has moved to deepen its level of engagement with the SME community and launched a new division Total ICT to provide IT products and services across the country. The company has approximately 192,000 SME customers.

The agreement covers Mamut’s full range of business software products and will enable Eircom Total ICT to provide market leading solutions including telecoms, hardware and software.

Oslo-based Mamut launched into the Irish software market in September with the opening of a new Dublin office headed by Alan Moody. Mamut Business Software products address a range of issues vital to any company including accounting, salesforce automation, customer relationship management, logistics, project management and e-commerce. In conversation with siliconrepublic.com in September, Mamut’s founder and CEO Eilert Hanoa said the company is targeting the market currently occupied by Sage, but he said its software is similar in its ease of use to a Microsoft Office package in that the software can be deployed and up and running after five steps.

Designed specifically for SMEs, Mamut’s solutions are currently used by more than 100,000 users across Europe. Many SMEs require an all-inclusive administrative system consisting of customer and sales follow-up, accounting, logistics and e-commerce. This simplifies the daily operations and reduces the need to use different solutions from several suppliers. Mamut’s solutions also allow seamless integration with Microsoft Office in order to simplify the way SMEs do business. The software elements can be purchased individually or as an integrated suite of software that encompasses many applications.

“Our software is a perfect fit for the majority of Irish businesses and having a partner with Eircom’s breadth and experience will be of great assistance to us in gaining rapid acceptance in this important market,” Moody commented.

Mamut and Eircom will be participating together in a series of road shows around the country this month to demonstrate the services offered by the Total ICT division.

“We share Mamut’s belief that IT solutions for SMEs should be affordable, intuitive, easy to deploy and above all that they should work for every employee in your business,” commented Tadhg Foley, general manager of Eircom Total ICT.
