Santry-based EMIT, which has been operating since 2003, focuses on managed services in four key areas: cloud computing, business productivity, IT security and infrastructure.
The acquisition of Softech’s managed services business will grow EMIT’s customer base to more than 3,500 end users in the private and public sectors.
“We have been looking closely at several acquisition opportunities for some time,” explained EMIT founder and managing director Eamon Moore.
“We believe that Softech is the perfect fit for our business right now, particularly with its successful pedigree in delivering high-quality IT services and solutions. We welcome their knowledge and experience, and will integrate their offerings, team members and customers seamlessly into our business.”
Moore added that the company has ambitious business development goals and plans to further growth both organically and through acquisitions.
“I pass on the business to EMIT knowing that it will meet the same very high standards of professional service that our customers have experienced during their time with Softech,” said Aidan Bailey of Softech.
