ICS fire up Campus Oil with accounts package

Belfast-headquartered ICS Computing has completed a €1.5m contract to provide a financial accounting system to Dublin-headquartered oil importer and distributor Campus Oil.

Campus Oil has 13 distribution centres throughout Ireland.

The accounts system is managed and hosted in the ICS Data Centre in Belfast and provides Campus Oil with software to drive company growth and enhance customer service.

“After acquiring several companies, we had to examine all our processes and systems to ensure compatibility and reliability to help us stay ahead in what is an increasingly competitive market,” explained Jim Fitzgerald, managing director of Campus Oil.

“ICS Computing was one of the only companies that could offer us a truly innovative and future-proof solution to match our needs. Its Perito accounting solution has the capability to handle the complexities of our new corporate structure, providing us with a coherent procedural and financial solution that allows us to comfortably grow our distribution network.

“This has enabled us to become leaner, more efficient and more responsive to both customer and market trends. We also have decided to implement the fully integrated Perito in-cab mobile solution in the near future, which will further improve our competitiveness and service levels.”

“The new accounting system links Campus Oil’s 13 locations together, delivering margin visibility across its operations through handling and analysing complex transfer pricing, rebates and discounting regimes, while preserving strong financial controls,” said Mervyn Erskine, director, ICS Computing.
