€40m logistics hub could bring 1,000 jobs to south Dublin

Logistics and industrial hub could supercharge Ireland’s e-commerce prowess.

Planning permission has been granted for a new €40m logistics hub in Baldonnel, Dublin.

The development plans to create 120 jobs during the construction phase and more than 850 roles are expected to be created by companies that will locate at the Mountpark Logistics EU Sarl hub.

Mountpark Logistics EU Sarl is a joint venture between USAA RealCo Europe BV, the Dutch subsidiary of USAA Real Estate Company, and Mountpark Finco.

The privately owned real-estate development and investment company specialises in the logistics, retail and mixed-use markets.

It operates primarily in the UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal from offi­ces in Luxembourg, London, Warsaw, Paris, Milan and Madrid.

The development will consist of a number of logistics and warehouse buildings that range in size from 10,837 sq m to 21,934 sq m.

Overall, the scheme could deliver 1,000 jobs to the south Dublin area.

Work has begun in earnest to identify contractors, and construction will commence soon.
