Netsource and Colt in broadband alliance

1 Jun 2005

Business broadband internet service provider Netsource has joined forces with international internet protocol (IP) carrier Colt to offer business-class DSL services to Irish SMEs.

Colt recently confirmed its entry into the European voice over IP market with the launch of its pan-European telephony services for businesses.

It is envisaged the alliance with Netsource will enable Colt to drill down into the Irish SME market and offer flat-rate pricing for voice and data services.

In turn, the partnership expands Netsource’s reach to a pan-European and potentially cross-Atlantic data network.

Colt Ireland managing director Gary Keogh said the partnership with Netsource will enable his company to extend its offering to include business-class DSL with a view to increasing its market share among SMEs.

Netsource managing director Tom Kelly explains: “This is a mutually beneficial relationship and underlines both parties commitment to offering the widest possible choice of data, voice and managed business communications services.

“As the convergence of voice and data gathers pace we want to be able to respond to our customers’ demands. This partnership with Colt significantly strengthens our ability to achieve this.”
