Northern Ireland firm signs major email deal with AIB

Belfast-based enterprise communications firm Amacis has signed a major deal with AIB Group to implement an email management system that will streamline its interaction and response with customers in Ireland, the UK, Poland and the US by electronic communication and ensure greater message authentication.

Under the contract Amacis will deploy its award-winning electronic communications management solution, Amicis Visibility.

With an increasing number of customers communicating online, AIB required a solid platform that could provide routing, response and management functions, with all email interactions maintained in a single message store. It was important that the selected solution could support online forms, could provide the ability to handle direct two-way email communications and could enable secure messaging.

Amacis Visibility was selected because it met all of the key selection criteria and provided a platform that could be extended in line with business and customer demands.

It is expected that the platform will reduce handling and response times by AIB staff and also enable all channels and customer email communications to be handled and responded to through a single interface.

“We know that the implementation of Amacis Visibility will make a tangible difference to the way in which the AIB Group interacts with its customers. The return they will make on this investment will not be solely financial, but will also be evident in the satisfaction of their customers. We are delighted to partner with AIB on this journey,” said Amacis CEO Tom Montgomery.

Sean O’Connor, senior manager at AIB’s e-business division said: “AIB is very excited to be opening up more channels through which our customers can communicate with us, in a manner and at a time that suits them. The Amacis Visibility solution provides us with a powerful platform which can be extended in line with our customers expectations.”

Amacis’ product portfolio manages all forms of internal and external electronic communications including email, web forms, secure messaging, intelligent self-service, SMS and web chat.

Amacis has headquarters in Boston and Belfast. The company is privately held and is backed by private and institutional investors, including Qubis, Enterprise Equity, Yorkshire VCT, Allied Irish Banks IT Fund, Royal Bank of Scotland, InvestNI and its employees.
