NovaUCD stirs entrepreneurial interest

17 Feb 2009

The Entrepreneurs Live! series of lunchtime seminars for aspiring business leaders will begin once again at University College Dublin’s (UCD) innovation centre NovaUCD. This time the seminars kick off with Jacques Lefebvre, co-founder and CEO of successful start-up DataKraft.

The seminars begin tomorrow, Wednesday 18 February, and will run until 11 March. They last from 1pm to 1:50pm, and are designed to encourage those, both from an academic and business background, to set up and run their own successful business.

Each talk features an experienced guest speaker, including the founders of Zenith Technologies, TechWorks Marine and Ecocem. The high and lows, speed bumps and snags encountered along the way are discussed, with the opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the entrepreneurial process.

As with all previous seminars series, the 12th Entrepreneurs Live!, which is in association with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board, is open to any and all interested, and not just UCD alumni or those in academia.

Previous speakers at the Live! series include Sean Fee, CEO of iFoods.tv of Dragon’s Den fame. A podcast of this and other previous talks are available here.
