Singularity in B2B telecoms deal

A Derry-headquartered software company has won its fourth key telecoms deal in the past quarter and will deploy its business process management (BPM) at a UK-based business-to-business (B2B) telecoms services provider.

Based in the south east of England, Glemnet specialises in the procurement, installation and maintenance of converged business voice telecoms and IP data network services.

Singularity’s technology will enable Glemnet to buy and sell phone line services using the new Wholesale Line Rental 3 (WLR3) protocol that allows Glemnet to compete on an equal footing with BT in the UK telecoms market.

This is the fourth WLR3-based contract that Singularity has won in the last quarter, including deals with BT and Unicom.

“We chose Singularity because of the superior technical features of their solution and because their people demonstrated deep expertise in the issues surrounding WLR3,” said Neil Linter, managing director of Glemnet.

“By adopting WLR3 early, we expect to gain a competitive advantage and provide real benefits to our customer base,” Linter added.
