Olas, a 30-year-old Irish software business, has reported it has completed a number of projects over the last six months valued at €800,000.

The work was for SAP training and software development services for global food and drinks and pharmaceuticals companies.

“Olas is the kind of success story Ireland needs to focus on today,” said Shane Ross, TD, as he presented innovation awards to Kerry Group and Diageo Ireland at a dinner celebrating Olas’ thirtieth year.

“Not only are they helping Ireland’s top companies to improve productivity, they’re bringing SAP trainees to Ireland, and servicing Europe and Africa from Stillorgan.”

Founded in Dublin in 1981, Olas provides industry and government with official software training on SAP, Adobe, Microsoft and Business Objects. Olas, which works with 17 of Ireland’s top 30 companies, also bespoke software applications and e-learning that improve productivity and reduce costs.

“Despite the doomsday downturn dialogue,” said Olas MD Ruairi Boland, “Olas sees an upturn – in the next 30 years our customers need to empower fewer employees to achieve more, to put IT in the hands of the field workforce, and make sense of ever-increasing mountains of data.”
