Bray-based software company Softworks Computing announced today an agreement to install its time resource management system (TRMS) known as ClockWise at the Royal Mail Group in the UK.

Following a lengthy tendering process, the wholly-owned Irish company has been awarded the €3.3m (£2m sterling) contract against competition from the UK, Europe and the US. Phase one of the TRMS implementation begins in March at the Royal Mail’s new international mail handling facility at Heathrow.

Established in 1990 and headquartered in Bray, Co Wicklow, with offices in the UK and France, Softworks has concentrated its efforts on the management of labour resources since its foundation.

The company’s customer base incorporates large and small manufacturers of technology, pharmaceutical, foodstuffs and consumer goods through to major financial institutions, legal practices, government, retail, educational, healthcare, hospitality and other service industries.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract as it shows the Royal Mail’s confidence in our ability,” said Andrew Ferguson, managing director at Softworks.
