Tuesday Push: Cmypitch

7 Jul 2009

This week’s Tuesday Push is a clever new service that connects businesses with investors via video and includes tips from Eddie Jordan and Ray Nolan.

Cmypitch – connecting businesses with investors – was recently launched in Ireland.

Founded in June 2008 by Irish entrepreneur Emmett Kilduff, Cmypitch is the first website in Ireland to leverage video in connecting businesses with investors.

Emmett is a graduate of University College Dublin (degree in business and law) and The Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (master’s degree in the internet).

Cmypitch.ie provides businesses with the opportunity to upload their own video pitch for a network of investors to watch. Video pitches on Cmypitch.ie can only be viewed by self-certified investors.

Entrepreneurs can learn how to become investor ready by watching video tips from the best Irish (ie Eddie Jordan, Ray Nolan) and international (ie Doug Richard, James Caan) entrepreneurs and download ‘how to’ guides.

Emmett Kilduff, Cmypitch.ie’s CEO says: “The recession is killing thousands of good start-up ideas and small businesses in Ireland.

“Access to equity funding in Ireland is virtually non-existent, yet there are angel investors out there, including my father, who have no formal way of sourcing good opportunities.

“This is what drove me to launch cmypitch.ie. I want to help good entrepreneurs to find funding to fuel their business dream.”

Cmypitch.ie will also hold regular offline pitching events called “Cmypitch Live”, where entrepreneurs get the unique opportunity to pitch to a room full of investors.

Cmypitch Live enables up to 10 entrepreneurs to pitch to a room full of investors. Each entrepreneur has three minutes to pitch and three panelists (very successful entrepreneurs / investors).
