US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to discuss the trilateral US-Ireland Research and Development Partnership and economic opportunities for Northern Ireland during her trip to Ireland next week.
The White House has confirmed Clinton will travel to Belfast on 7 December to meet officials and discuss investment opportunities, as well as the peace process.
Also on Clinton’s agenda is a meeting of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe and an event hosted by The Ireland Funds.
The Ireland Funds is a global fundraising network supporting programmes of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development throughout Ireland, the organisation states on its website.
Clinton is also scheduled deliver a speech in Dublin, on US achievements in support of human rights around the world.
Clinton’s visit to Ireland encompasses a four-day trip that will also include stops in Belgium and the Czech Republic.
