Email management software vendor Waterford Technologies has acquired a Californian office software company, DPD International. DPD’s Gold Inter@ction technologies enables companies to tranform Microsoft Outlook into a sales and business management solution.
Four year-old Waterford Technologies has customers in all vertical markets, including SME, multinational, government and education and last year had sales topping €1.5m, The company is in the process of opening up new offices in the US, South Africa and Australia. The company’s existing portfolio of email communcation products are compatible with Microsoft Exchange, including its flagship product MailMeter, that can track all internal and external email within an organisation.
DPD International is the latest in a chain of acquisitions that Waterford Technologies has been undertaking. The company recently inherited three products previously owned by French communications technology vendor BVRP Software as part of its acquisition of international communications and security software specialist Seattle Lab last year.
DPD’s Gold-Vision product family offers secure, user-friendly access to comprehensive customer account information through a single point of entry to improve internal communication, customer service and staff efficiency. It also incorporates Gold-Fax technology, a scaleable fax server suitable for automating business critical fax communications.
The technology is used by Avis, BUPA, Bank of Scotland, West Midlands Police and Daimler Chrysler.
