Some 700 jobs are to be created as a result of an £80m (€88.9m) investment in a new wind turbine facility, it was announced today.
Future demand has spurred manufacturing giant Siemens to develop an offshore wind turbine facility in the UK.
Siemens has said it has been exploring several sites on the east coast and in the northeast, working with regional development agencies.
