True to her word, Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer is back in the office, 15 days after having given birth to her first child, a boy, on 30 September.

She announced her first full day back at work yesterday on microblogging site Twitter, in which she also announced the appointment of Henrique de Castro as Yahoo!’s COO.

When Mayer (37) took on the Yahoo! CEO job in July, she told Fortune she planned to go back to work soon after giving birth.

“I like to stay in the rhythm of things,” she said. “My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I’ll work throughout it.”

Mayer is married to investor Zach Bogue. In an email to friends announcing their baby’s birth, they welcomed suggestions for the baby’s name. It hasn’t been made public (yet), assuming the couple has named their son by now.
