Netwatch brings 50 new jobs to Carlow

2 Dec 2014

Digital security specialist Netwatch is creating 50 new jobs at its Carlow headquarters, bringing the company’s total headcount to more than 160 people.

Around 15 of the roles currently being recruited include sales and marketing, customer service, administration, installation and service, as well as opportunities for intervention specialists in Netwatch’s Communications Hub.

Opportunities will also be available at the company’s two regional offices in the US, Boston and New York, and in the UK hub.

“As our international expansion continues we have been subsequently able to grow our team both here in Carlow and across our regional hubs,” David Walsh, CEO of Netwatch said.

Plans to double size of Netwatch every two-to-three years

“Since the opening of our New York office in 2013, we have gone from strength to strength. For every 50 contracts we win in the US, we create 10 new jobs in Carlow. Our vision is to double the size of the company every three years and we are well on our way to achieving this.”

Walsh said investment in innovation and R&D has been key to the company’s success and has given it a competitive edge, particularly in the US market.

“We are constantly innovating and devising new technologies to improve our service offering to our clients.”

In 2013, Netwatch expanded its US operations, opening a second office, this time in New York. As a result of the opening, 10 new positions were created in New York, as well as 20 new roles at the company’s state of the art Communications Hub in Carlow.
