Tech Jobs 2014 – Top 50 jobs announcements of 2014: Nos 40-36

Today we continue our countdown of Ireland’s top tech jobs announcement stories of 2014, from start-ups to multinational companies.

It has been a year that has reflected expansions, investments and sectors that are thriving in Ireland, such as online and pharmaceuticals.

Community-driven hospitality e-commerce site Airbnb, for example, announced 100 news jobs in Dublin, and pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly, which has four Irish operations, in Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Kinsale, Co Cork, revealed it was to also create 100 jobs in Ireland.

	40 – Business software leader SAP to create 260 technology jobs in Dublin and Galway German software giant SAP is to create 60 predictive analytics positions and 200 new technology support roles at its Dublin and Galway operations.
	39 – Telecoms software player Openet to create 45 global jobs Hiring Now Delivering impact for our clients, our people and our communities Excellence in research for innovation and analytics Unlocking the potential of biology for patients Dare to make a difference Ireland’s largest indigenous technology company Openet is to create 45 new jobs to support its global expansion. Thirty of the jobs will be based in Ireland while 15 will be located at its Asian hub in Kuala Lampur.
	38 – Kerry Group to invest €100m in new Naas food plant, creating 900 jobs by 2016 Kerry Group is setting up a global technology and innovation centre in Naas, Co Kildare, in a €100m investment that’s set to create up to 900 permanent jobs by 2016, as well as 400 construction jobs during the build.
	37 – Canadian tech firm Optel Vision to create 140 jobs in Limerick Optel Vision, a Canadian tech firm specialising in track and trace and vision inspection technology for the manufacturing world, is to create 140 new jobs in Limerick.
	36 – 350 new tech jobs to be created at Voxpro in Cork Irish exporter of multilingual business process outsourcing services Voxpro is to create 350 new jobs in Cork to support its international growth strategy.
