Eugene Hillery, director of international operations at Tableau Software, discusses the company’s need for multilingual employees who are passionate about data.

In the next five years, the world will generate 50 times the amount of data in 2011, with 75 times the number of information sources.

Within these data are huge, unparalleled opportunities for human advancement. But to turn opportunities into reality, people need the power of data at their fingertips. Tableau Software is building software to deliver exactly that.

The company has created an application that allows greater numbers of people to understand growing amounts of data.

A US company, Tableau Software set up shop in Ireland two years ago and has had expansion on its mind ever since. Currently employing 25 people in Dublin, these numbers are set to rise rapidly.

Hillery explains that, due to the growing popularity of its services all over Europe, multilingual candidates often catch the eye at Tableau.

“So from Dublin, we’re servicing the EMEA region so we have a lot of customers in Germany, France and the Mediterranean area. In Tableau, what’s very important is that (candidates) are the right cultural fit. Enthusiastic people, well motivated and driven to succeed.”

Currently seeking people for a wide range of positions, Tableau lists technical support specialists and engineers, tier four development engineers, accounts receivable specialists, and enterprise account managers as key positions in the near future.
