In our employer insights series, Lars Holzman, director of engineering at TripAdvisor Ireland, discusses the importance of a well-constructed team to the overall running of one of the world’s most recognisable online brands.

Based on the banks of the River Liffey in Dublin’s city centre, TripAdvisor’s engineers actually bring out two new iterations of the website every single day.

To do this, the company tries to hire talented engineers, looking at both graduates and experienced professionals to find the right fit for its expanding Irish operations.

“One of the drivers that brought us to set up an engineering hub in Ireland is the talent pool. One of the really cool things we see here is we have a very cool, diverse talent pool,” said Holzman.
