Tech company Payback Loyalty to double workforce in Limerick

16 Apr 2015

A major €2.5m expansion programme by digital consumer engagement technology company Payback Loyalty will bring 28 new jobs to Limerick as it doubles its workforce.

The planned growth by Payback, which has received support from the State, will see it hire staff from both ends of the experience spectrum.

The 10-year-old company has developed a loyalty platform that enables retailers to run schemes across a number of shops, rewarding their customers at the till with specific targeted loyalty promotions and offers.

The general market for these products is growing in Ireland, with Payback clearly positioning itself for further improvements in the sector.

“We look forward to welcoming new talent to drive the achievement of our growth targets,” said Payback CEO Richard Gubbins.

“Having gained leading industry recognition in the Irish market, this investment demonstrates Payback’s commitment to unlocking the wider international potential of our digital consumer engagement platform.”

Enterprise Ireland supported the announcement, having helped Payback get to this stage of its operation.

“Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with Payback Loyalty in progressing its expansion and investment plans,” said Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland.

“This is an ambitious and highly innovative company, with great potential to scale and grow rapidly in international markets, and Enterprise Ireland will continue to work with them as they implement their plans.”
