Energia electricity campaign to generate 55 new jobs

25 Aug 2015

Up to 55 new jobs are to be created nationwide by two sales and marketing companies helping drive Energia’s push into the electricity and gas market.

Lites Group is set to hire 30 sales professionals for positions based in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford.

NK Communications is growing its existing sales team, with 25 new hires who will work nationwide.

The new hires will be working on the companies’ sales campaigns for Energia.

Energia is promoting a dual fuel offer that will guarantee consumers savings of up to 16pc off standard rates.

“Our new campaign with Energia is attracting lots of interest and we expect the business to grow quickly,” said Aidan O’Brien, joint managing director, Lites Group.

In April, Energia revealed plans to build a new wind farm at the cost of €145m that will generate 255GW/hr of renewable energy, which is capable of powering as many as 70,000 homes in Donegal.

Energia’s operational wind farm portfolio includes both its own wind farms and those from third-party wind farms contracted to the energy supplier under power purchase agreements, creating a total energy output of 795MWs of renewable power.
