50 new jobs for Cork as Asystec opens doors in Ballincollig

18 Sep 2015

Asystec, an Irish data management solutions company, has announced the creation of 50 jobs at its new facilities in Ballincollig, Cork.

The announcement was made by Minister Dara Murphy TD at the official opening of the new Asystec Cork offices.

Speaking at the opening, Murphy said: “Asystec is a fantastic example of an indigenous Irish company providing specialised and innovative data management solutions to a host of clients, both nationally and internationally.”

Asystec designs IT solutions for companies, to help them to manage, secure and leverage key data assets. The company was founded by Les Byrne and Brendan McPhillips in 2011. The company already caters to numerous global brands and multinationals.

The new facility will provide customers and technology partners in the area with work space to develop data management strategies, and will provide hot desk facilities for customers visiting the region.

Speaking about the jobs created at the new facility, Les Byrne, founder and MD of Asystec, said: “We have always hired highly-skilled people who have the flexibility to grow as the company does. This means that we can offer the highest level of service in every area of our business.

“To meet the growing demand for our services, we have had to scale up teams in our offices across Ireland and the UK. The announcement of the 50 new highly-skilled jobs today is a reflection of our absolute focus, international customer wins and increasing market demand,” Byrne continued.

The new roles will be created in analytics, data centre and IT security and governance, and will predominantly be senior sales and technical roles.
