7 top employers hiring for data science roles right now

30 Sep 2015

As more and more businesses of all stripes come to the realisation that data is key, data science is experiencing a massive surge of growth across the industry.

Data science is an incredibly broad sector, incorporating everything from analytics to privacy to zero bias.

As such, the range of data science-related careers on offer is almost overwhelming.

Roles across data mining, business intelligence, consultancy, datavis and research are just some of those that are very much in demand in companies that place a focus on data science.

In fact, many companies that do not have a strict data science focus are now taking on employees in the data science area as data becomes intrinsically linked with all facets of business.

Below are listed just some of the top employers hiring for data science roles right now.

Dropbox

Dropbox has become a household name since its launch in 2008.

On the surface, Dropbox doesn’t have an immediately apparent link to data science, but the file-hosting service’s commitment to customers’ privacy more than qualifies it.

Protecting the personal data stored and shared on Dropbox is a massive part of the company’s ethos.

Dropbox seeks employees who dream big and see stumbling blocks as challenges, not problems, while innovation is key.

Dropbox is expected to announce a number of data science roles in the immediate future.
