300 jobs set for Dublin through cloud expert Sage

Cloud payments and payroll solutions provider Sage has announced the opening of a new base in Sandyford, Dublin, with the creation of 300 jobs across sales, marketing and services.

Already employing 250 people in Ireland, the setting up of a second operation will aid the company’s service across 1.8m customers throughout Europe.

Sage CEO Stephen Kelly spoke of the “very best talent” that is available in Dublin as the company seeks to provide “digitally-driven sales and support” for its global products.

Sage jobs – a 30-year plan

“For over 30 years we’ve been helping small businesses to grow – this new Dublin centre will significantly strengthen us in supporting our customers achieve their business ambition,” said Brendan Flattery, president of Sage’s European operations.

“The new centre is focused entirely on providing a new experience that will propel businesses across Europe to thrive and succeed.”

Sage is serious big business, employing 14,000 people worldwide and operating in 24 different countries.

Earlier this year, two Sage business partners – Advent Processing Solutions and ADP Business Solutions – merged to create Envisage Cloud, resulting in a new company with more than €2m in annual sales revenue.
