Great news for Cork as Voxpro announces 400 new jobs

20 Nov 2015

Cork received a major jobs boost thanks, once again, to Voxpro’s expansion plans, with the multilingual customer support company expanding its workforce by 400 – 50 positions will be based in Dublin.

Established by co-founders Dan and Linda Kiely 20 years ago, Voxpro’s global operations are flourishing, with Dan saying: “Our success to-date has been built on delivering beautiful customer experience in partnership with, and on behalf of, our partners, which we do through the hard work, talent and determination of our team of extraordinary people.

“With team members from more than 26 countries, innovatively transacting business in as many as 18 different languages, our multilingual graduate talent pool is undoubtedly the key to our success.”

Voxpro’s announcement is the latest in what is turning into a long line of expansions made by the company this decade.

Back in 2010, with an already impressive 160 employees, the company doubled its workforce, before another 100 were recruited in 2012. In 2013, a landmark deal with Travelzoo was struck, as the company increased its turnover from €10m to €15m amid a series of contracts.

Last summer, 350 jobs were added as the company headed for 850 employees, with today’s figure bringing the total number of people employed at the company to around 1,400.

The company delivers customer contact solutions on behalf of more than 100 companies and organisations worldwide, including Google, Nest and Airbnb.

Headquartered in Cork, Voxpro has three purpose-built facilities in the county, an office in Dublin and an international office in San Francisco, with plans for a Sacramento development almost completed.

A problem for the company, though, appears to be finding accommodation for staff in the city, with Kiely hinting at potential Dublin plans should issues continue as the company expands.

Welcoming today’s announcement in Cork, Taoiseach Enda Kenny was on hand to say: “The creation of 400 new jobs by Voxpro is fantastic news for Cork and a boost to the reputation of the southwest region as a growing hub for innovative companies.”
