Storm Technology seeks world-class candidates to push the boundaries of innovation

25 Jan 2016

Storm Technology is an indigenous Irish company with a global vision. Founded in Galway in 1995, and with offices in Galway and Dublin, Storm offers technical consultancy and Microsoft solutions to a client base around the world.

As part of Siliconrepublic.com’s Employers to Watch 2016 series, we spoke to Colm Molloy – director of HR at Storm Technology – about working at Storm, and the company’s culture and vision.

According to Molloy, client satisfaction is placed at the heart of the business, but equally important is employee satisfaction.

“Work is important to us, but it’s also important that our people enjoy working here,” said Molloy.

There’s a pervasive social culture in Storm, driven by meet-ups and get-togethers, BBQs and Xbox tournaments.

But even beyond the social, the company puts a focus on its employees, with career growth a crucial aspect of the Storm ethos.

“We are steadfast in our commitment to investing in our employees, helping them learn, grow and get real exposure to emerging technologies,” said Molloy.

With centres of excellence in Galway and Dublin, it’s clear that Storm puts a premium on exceptional talent. Some of that talent comes from outside Ireland – something, says Molloy, that adds to the company’s success: “Having a diverse team provides us with an energy that’s unrivalled and fully embraced within the company.”

According to Molloy, the company seeks candidates who are inspired about solving problems, seeking a new challenge, and open to being innovative and pushing boundaries.
