70 new ‘highly-skilled jobs’ at app-maker 3D4Medical

14 Jan 2016

3D4Medical, a maker of medical apps, is set to expand significantly over the next 18 months, with 70 highly-skilled roles coming on stream at its Blackrock HQ.

The Blackrock facility is 3D4Medical’s new global HQ, actually, with the 70 new jobs to be in technical, design and medical areas.

That means software developers, 3D graphic artists and medical writers will be sought after over the course of the recruitment drive, with the 70 positions more than tripling 3D4Medical’s current workforce in Ireland.

“As an Irish company we are delighted to be in a position to further build our research and development and technical teams from Dublin,” said CEO and founder John Moore.

“We are committed to developing world-leading products and this focus on innovation has already brought us phenomenal success across the globe with our apps being downloaded over 12m times.”

The Blackrock facility is not the only investment made by 3D4Medical recently, with offices in Poland, Russia and San Diego other significant moves by the company.

Irish-based life sciences company Malin acquired a 38pc stake in the firm last year, a notable move for the company, according to Moore.

“The recent investment by Malin and the continued support of Enterprise Ireland will enable 3D4Medical to recruit 70 new people as we continue our focus on R&D and the infrastructure to support our new cloud-based technology solutions globally.”
