Fifty new jobs are expected in Canada Life Group’s Irish operations as a result of the company’s expansion plans.
The new roles are in the areas of IT, sales, actuarial, pensions and Canada Life’s Dublin-based German business.
Life assurance businesses in Ireland and Germany, a fund management business, Setanta Asset Management, a European information services division and an international reinsurance business make up Canada Life operations based in Ireland.
The group currently employs more than 500 people in Ireland.
