6 Oct 2010

Recruitment consultancy Premier Group today announced its Morgan McKinley operations will create 75 jobs over the next 18 months in Ireland.

The Premier Group has recently rebranded its three recruitment businesses – Premier, Verkom and Brunel to Morgan McKinley.

Following the €60m acquisition of international recruitment firm Morgan McKinley in 2008, Premier boasts three brands, namely Morgan McKinley, La Crème and Accreate.

The group is to invest €1m to launch and develop the Morgan McKinley brand in Ireland, as part of its plans for domestic and international growth.

Confidence

Chief executive Pat Fitzgerald said the investment reflects the company’s confidence in the Irish economy and jobs market.

The new jobs, which will be filled in the next 18 months, will mainly be based in the Dublin and Cork offices but some positions will also open in the company’s Kilkenny, Limerick and Waterford offices.

The jobs will consist of recruitment consultant positions, as well as roles in Premier Group’s global support services team which covers innovation development, finance, marketing, IT and HR.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation Batt O’Keeffe, said, “Recent growth in the internationally traded services sector is a key indicator of economic recovery. It is encouraging to see an Irish company developing through global acquisitions, bringing the best elements of these operations back home and creating jobs for our people.”
