BT names Joris van Oers as CEO of BT Benelux

29 Jul 2013

Joris van Oers will lead BT’s business in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg as of 1 September, as CEO of the telecoms giant’s Benelux operations.

He replaces Edwin Hageman, who has been appointed director at Microsoft Netherlands.

Van Oers joins BT with previous executive experience. Prior to BT, he served as CEO and member of the executive committee at De Telefoongids Holding BV, the Dutch branch of local search and lead-generation company European Directories.

He began his career at KPN, where he held a number of senior positions until 2009.

In the Benelux, BT aims to be the leading communication partner for multinationals, government agencies, and large local enterprises, and according to Corrado Sciolla, president, Europe and Latin America at BT Global Services, van Oers is the person for the job.

“Joris brings to us a wealth of industry experience and deep market-knowledge that will help maximise the business impact of a great local team,” Sciolla said.
