SaonGroup is pleased to announce that Ciaran McCooey has been appointed as the group chief executive of saongroup.com, with effect from 01 February 2008. McCooey is currently group chief financial officer. He joined the SaonGroup in 2000 as financial controller of Irishjobs.ie. He became finance director in 2002 and group chief financial officer in 2005. He was previously financial controller of Marlborough Group Ltd and prior to that worked in the US for four years as financial controller of DPI Southwest Distributing, a subsidiary of the Irish Dairy Board. Ciaran qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and holds a B.Comm. and Diploma in professional accounting from UCD. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
