A Clonmel-based mobile computing and barcode technology company, VisionID, has announced its workforce will increase by 25pc.
The move will see VisionID extend its operations across Europe and new, state-of-the-art customer sales and support offices.
The company says it will expand its workforce from 16 to 20 immediately and is now advertising these posts with immediate starts for marketing, sales and software development staff.
Pushing forward
“We are delighted to be able to announce this major expansion plan, particularly at a time of such unprecedented economic uncertainty. We are an indigenous Irish SME trying to push forward in line with Ireland’s knowledge economy strategy,” commented sales director Cathal Murtagh.
“New markets equals new business and this will give any company what they crave for growth. We have structured our business in a way that allows us to compete in many other countries across Europe and we have proven this over the last 18 months by successfully closing a number of opportunities in the UK, Denmark, Poland and Germany, to name a few,” he added.
VisionID specialises in the provision of track and trace systems which are widely used across the manufacturing, retail, healthcare and transport/logistics sectors.
