CPA prize of €5,000 on Facebook for would-be accountants

28 Jun 2011

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) is running a Facebook-based competition giving aspiring accountants the chance to win €5,000 towards their studies.

“This is an opportunity for a life-changing career move, whether fresh out of college, unemployed and looking to enter a new profession or simply seeking to upskill an existing qualification,” said Suzanne Shaw, business development director with the CPA.

“There are no safe houses in a storm, but accountancy is one of the more reliable professions in terms of employment and there are still plenty of opportunities out there for qualified graduates, both at home and around the world. The CPA designation is the most commonly used designation worldwide for professional accountants and the institute’s qualification enjoys international recognition.”

A CPA qualification offers students unique flexibility to study at their own pace and allows students to choose how and when they move through the qualification. Unlike other professional bodies, when studying for a CPA qualification, a student can choose how many exams they would like to take at a time and when they want to take them, so every student progresses at his or her own pace.

To enter the competition, simply “like” the CPA Ireland Facebook page and follow the instructions to win.
