Complete Telecom recently appointed Derek Vard as chief financial officer. Vard will be responsible for the entire finance function of Complete Telecom, overseeing a re-organisation and streamlining of the business as the company strives for significant growth over the coming years. Vard has extensive experience as a financial professional, with over 20 years spent in a diverse range of industries. He joins Complete Telecom from Ashville Media Group, where he was finance director from October 2004 to December 2007. Prior to that, he was general manager of Coretime from October 1999 to September 2004. At Coretime, he managed the successful trade sale of the company to Sage. He has worked previously in both industry and accountancy environments in Ireland and the Middle East. Vard has been a certified public accountant since 1984 and was made a fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA Institute) in 1995.
